Pastoral Care Courses
The Presbyterian Church of Trinidad and Tobago (PCTT) has a Voluntary Order known as the Presiding Elder. Presiding Elders are entrusted with the authority of pastoral care and to administer the Sacraments (Holy Baptism and Holy Communion). The Certificate in Presiding Eldership places emphasis on the Sacraments and Church Administration of The PCTT.
Requirements: Preference will be given to applicants who are forty-five (45) years and over. Students are expected to meet the basic requirements for entry into the programme. A student may meet any of the following two requirements:
CERTIFICATE IN PRESIDING ELDERSHIP
MODULE 1 OLD TESTAMENT STUDIES
MODULE 2 NEW TESTAMENT STUDIES
MODULE 3 COMMUNICATION STUDIES
MODULE 4 WORSHIP
MODULE 5 LITURGICAL STUDIES
MODULE 6 PASTORAL WORK & CARE
MODULE 7 CHURCH HISTORY, BELIEFS, GOVERNANCE & LEADERSHIP
