YOUTH MINISTRY

Course Overview

This course is targeted at all youth leaders and youth coordinators within The Presbyterian Church of Trinidad & Tobago (PCTT). It engages students to analyse youth ministry issues from theological perspectives, to explore approaches for addressing these issues with a congregation, and discover methods and techniques for youth ministry from the pulpit to the pew and beyond.

Following completion of this course, each participant will be awarded a Certificate of Course Completion in Youth Ministry.

Sessions

Theological and social foundations of youth ministry
History and present context of youth ministry in The PCTT
Generation ministry within the vision of the church/strategic planning
Adolescent development and spirituality
Adolescent world: challenges such as peer pressure, self-harm
Pastoral care of youth. Relational ministry.
Working with schools
Generation discipleship and mission
Adventure Ministry and camps/university campus ministry
Working with parents
Empowering young people
Youth Communications. Volunteer development and outreach.

Duration: Six (6) Weeks

Cost: $500.00
