Ms. Murella Sambucharan holds the portfolio of Lecturer in Education with The UWI School of Education, and previously as a Curriculum Officer and a Spanish/French Teacher and Head of Department with the Ministry of Education.
She is an alumnae of Exchange Presbyterian School and St. Augustine Girls’ High School. Murella has held leadership roles on various regional, national and institutional boards related to Education. She continues to serve the PCTT as a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Local Board of the St. Joseph Presbyterian Church and has held the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of St. Andrew’s Theological College (SATC)
"Naps Old Boy" Mr. Lennox Sankersingh, has been an Attorney-at-Law for the past forty-five (45) years. He played all sports available, taught at several institutions, and has a keen interest in Local Government Development.
Mr. Sankersingh is also a member of the Couva/Balmain Pastoral Region and served the SATC as Corporate Secretary from 2020 - 2024. He is the Chairman of the Sou-Sou Land Co-operative Society that provided thousands of parcels of land to the poor and landless for as little as $2500 a lot since 1983. He served as a local government representative.
Mr. John Roopchan is a member of the Borde Narve Presbyterian Church. He attended ASJA Boys’ College and Naparima College at the secondary level and The UWI. He is a Certified Manager for Quality and Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) with the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Mr. Roopchan, now retired, served as a Teacher, Dean of Discipline, Curriculum Officer, Curriculum Coordinator, Head of the Teaching & Teacher Development Division, Director of the Curriculum Planning and Development Division, and in the position of Chief Education Officer (Ag.) on several occasions. He has played a pivotal role in Secondary Schools’ sporting associations, TTUTA, The CXC as well as the Public Service Examination Board.
Mr. Nello Ramkissoon is an Elder and member of the Susamachar Presbyterian Church. Professionally, he is presently Consultant – Corporate Finance and Secretarial to a major global energy group.
Mr. Ramkissoon was previously a Senior Executive in a leading petrochemical company, where he held the position of Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary. Mr. Ramkissoon has a B. Sc. (Industrial Management), M.B.A., A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants and has extensive experience in Corporate Governance,
Corporate Finance & Human Resources.
Mr. Dexter Rampersad is a School Supervisor with the Ministry of Education. He is a proud product of the Presbyterian education system having attended both the Tacarigua Presbyterian Primary School and
Hillview College.
Mr. Rampersad serves as the Vice Chair of the Local Board of the St. Joseph Presbyterian Church. However, he is no stranger to the pulpits
throughout the wider PCTT where he actively leads in devotions as a Lay
Preacher.
Reverend Brenda Bullock entered SATC in September 1987, graduated with a Licentiate in Theology in 1991 and was ordained as a Minister of the Word and Sacrament of The PCTT in 1992. Rev. Bullock was elected the first female Moderator of The PCTT in the year 2011.
She attended the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary U.S.A. in 2004 where she earned a Master of Arts in Theological Studies. She has been a minister of The Presbyterian Church of Trinidad and Tobago (PCTT) for the last 33 years and has served as Minister of many Pastoral Regions.
Ms. Carolyn Bally-Gosine has a B. Sc. (Botany, Zoology) UWI, St. Augustine (1978- 1981); Dip Ed, UWI (1985). She has been a member of staff at the Naparima Girls’ High School from January 1982-June 2012) and Principal (Secondary), from 2012-2020.
She is also a member of the Susamachar Presbyterian Church: Church
organist, keyboardist, pianist since 1972. Ms. Bally-Gosine is currently leader of the Susamachar Presbyterian Church Chorale.
Dr. Adanna James is the present Dean of the RC Seminary of St John Vianney & the Uganda Martyrs, an affiliate college of The UWI St. Augustine since 1970. She is an honours graduate of The UWI and seminary. She is a graduate of the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium, where she was awarded her doctorate for her research in ethics.
Her research background is in the areas of disability studies, medieval spirituality, Caribbean philosophy and women’s spirituality. She is a board member of Bethesda – an RC ministry for PwDs and their families. She is a Secretariat member of the Caribbean Theology Conference and presently in training as a spiritual director. She’s deeply committed to lived faith and has personal passion for ecumenism, passion for theology, spirituality, ecology, community improvement, dance, and food preparation.
Mr. Sean Sadaphal has been a practicing musician & educator for the past 20 years. He also has experience in office & business management. Mr. Sadaphal holds undergraduate qualifications in Information Systems, Music and postgraduate certification in Music and Education.
He is a member of the Santa Cruz Presbyterian Church and provides organist services for Curepe Presbyterian Church and Church of the Assumption.
Presiding Elder Ashford Tamby, is the General Secretary of the Synod of The PCTT. He has been in the Education sector for over twenty (20) years, and brings with him significant experience as he holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Educational Administration & Project Management, a Master’s in Education with a focus on curriculum design & development. He is a final year Ph. D. student at The UWI.
He attends the New Century Presbyterian Church, where he has served as an elder and the immediate past Chairman of the Local Board. He is the immediate past Chairman of the South-Eastern Presbytery, Nominations Committee and the Presbyterian Secondary Schools’ Board of Education.
He is also the former Clerk of Session of the Tableland Pastoral Region. Mr. Tamby has served on the Board of Youth Affairs, Board of Theological Education, Judicial Committee, Synod, the Synodical Council, and is presently the Presiding Elder attached to the Tableland Pastoral Region.
