Old Testament Theology / Biblical Theology I
The Old Testament Theology/ Biblical Theology course invites students to explore the theological message of the Old Testament through careful academic study and biblical reflection. As one of the foundational collections of ancient literature, the Old Testament is examined within its historical, literary, and cultural contexts to uncover the meaning of its texts and their significance for the faith of ancient Israel.
Throughout this course, students will gain a deeper understanding of God's self-revelation as presented in the thirty-nine books of the Old Testament. Emphasis is placed on the major theological themes and doctrines that emerge from these writings, including God's covenant relationship with His people, His character, His purposes in history, and His unfolding plan of redemption.
